CHOOSE YOUR TRAINING GLOVE

Many people struggle at the moment they need to choose their training gloves, but is not that hard!

With this chart you’ll be able to choose your training glove. The size and weight of your glove is going to depend on your weight, the smallest training glove available is a 12 oz. glove, if you weight between 105 and 126 lbs. this is glove is going to be perfect for you, next we have the 14 oz. gloves for weights between 130 and 154 lbs., last but not least the biggest gloves are the 16 and 18 oz. for weights of 160 lbs. or more.

It’s common to see people that sometimes gets a bigger glove and have a lower weight, or people with more weight getting a smaller glove, at the end of the day what matters is that you feel good with the glove, a recommendation that trainers usually give is that if you want to be faster you need to get a glove that is not to heavy, or if you get a bigger glove for training when you put a smaller one you would  even feel the weight because you already trained with a heavier glove.

If you want to be totally sure ask your trainer what is better for you!

How to use loop hand wraps?

Don’t get confused anymore! This hand wraps are supposed to make your life easier at the moment of training, they are easier to put on because they have and extra fabric with a loop where you just put you thumbs. But let’s do it by steps!

  1. Hold your hand in an open position and spread all you fingers.
  2. Slip the loop over your thumb that way the wrap is easily going around your hand starting from the back.
  3. Don’t forget to wrap your wrist too; you need enough support there too.
  4. When you finish wrapping as usual between your fingers just finish with the hook and loop to secure that the wraps doesn’t get loose or starts to fall.
  5. You are ready to train!

JULIO CESAR CHAVEZ JR.; WHAT IS NEXT FOR HIM?

After watching the fight  of Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. VS Dominik Britsch this past weekend were he won the match after being out of the ring for a while, people are asking who is next for him.  Some rumors started after the fight between him and Canelo Alvarez who have been the most talked boxers in a few years. The rumors are that maybe a match could happen between them sooner than we think, we could be hearing more of this in January.

Until know the only thing that we know is that Canelo is in his best moment and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr made his return so people are expecting a lot of him, this match could really be good for both and gather a lot of fans in the same place. As we know Canelo had an injury in his last fight with Liam Smith but it seems like he is getting better and is possible that he will fight again in February.

For sure they are two great boxers and we hope to see them on the ring soon together or not. What do you think should happen?

WHO IS NEXT FOR MANNY?

We all saw the fight this Saturday November 5th between Jessie Vargas and Manny Pacquiao that happened in Las Vegas, Nevada. At the beginning we saw that Jessie was a little bit nervous and slow or maybe getting he was trying to get the rhythm and speed that Manny has. In round 4th we saw a more confident Jessie with some great punches and better movement that made the crowd get excited to see the response of Manny Pacquiao.

All fans were excited to see if Manny still has it and if the called ‘‘underdog’’ Jessie Vargas could beat a champion of 8 different divisions and with 10 years of age more than him. As final result Manny Pacquiao won by unanimous decision, and now he is the new WBO world welterweight champion and we can see that he has no intentions to retire like he said a few months ago on his previous fight.

But now the question that everybody is asking and thinking about…Who will be Manny Pacquiao’s next opponent?

After the fight in an interview they asked him if maybe Terrance Crawford who was on the crowd, but also they mentioned Floyd Mayweather who was on the front row, obviously we all get excited by the thought that maybe a rematch could happen between this two great fighters, Manny just responded to every question that he didn’t know who could be his next opponent.

The final decision will ultimately be Mayweather’s , whether they have a rematch or the don’t. Would you like to see a rematch? There is a few more names on the list like:

Vasyl Lomachenko, Danny Garcia, Keith Thurma, Kell Brook or Amir Khan. Who do you think should be Manny Pacquiao’s next opponent?

PACQUIAO VS VARGAS

After waiting a few months since they announced this great fight between Manny Pacquiao who it is an eight-division world titleholder and welterweight titlist Jessie Vargas finally the day is here, tomorrow we will see this great fight.

As always we ask our self’s who is winning this fight? WHAT TO EXPECT!
We already know that Pacquiao is basically a legend in boxing and that a lot of boxers admire him and that is a dream and a challenge for them to fight with him.

Vargas has been very clear of what he is pursuing; he respects and admires Pacquiao’s trajectory but he wants to win this fight.

A lot of specialists on the sport have said that Pacquiao doesn’t have the force he used to, but still he has way more experience, skill and speed, they predict that he is going to win by points.

On the other side some specialist says that Vargas will give Pacquiao a really good fight and that fans are going to enjoy it. The is nothing else to do that wait for tomorrow!

So..are you Team Vargas or Team Pacquio?

Was it really worth this fight for Brook?

For many the result of GGG vs Special K fight was much anticipated, it was matter of time for GGG to show his power punches over Brook, on the very first round Brook got hurt badly and for a second some of us thought that the fight will not last longer than the second round, but in exchange we meet a very brave Kell Brook who we all saw by moments trading punches toe to toe against Golovkin, and expose that lack of defense he had. At the end happened what many people were thinking GGG won the fight.

Dominic Ingle did the right thing by stopping the fight, I could have been worst; at the end of the day a broken orbital bone will put Brook out of action for several months. Do you think the risk of moving up two divisions and facing GGG was really worth it?  Much respect for the very brave Brook and for his corner.

How to keep my gloves clean?

We like boxing but who likes to smell bad? Nobody! Of course is part of the sport, but there is many ways you can keep your boxing gloves clean and help them last even more time.

When you are done training you leave your gloves with a little bit of sweat (some of us with a LOT of sweat) and this can make the smell a little bad, more if we let the gloves inside our boxing gym. So here are a few tips that you can practice:

  1. Don’t leave your boxing gloves inside the gym bag, if they have sweat the bacterias are going to create bad odors.
  2. Wipe the sweat or extra moisture from the inside and outside with a cloth.
  3. Let you gloves get some air, but never leave them in the sun, this can damage the leather.
  4. Always use hand wraps this can help absorb most of the sweat and prevent your gloves of getting to wet.

This simple tips can help you keep you gloves cleaner!
